Unfortunately our booked speaker for November was unable to attend, but luckily David Duke from Kitsons Solicitors at Torquay was able to stand in at the last minute with a talk called "A Stitch in Time". This was a talk about putting our affairs in order which was full of antidotes and very informative!
Afternoon backstage trip to Theatre Royal, Plymouth where members were able to see what goes on behind the curtain!.
Coffee Morning at Avon Mill garden centre where members enjoyed company, coffee and of course yummy cakes!.
Craft Stall, Tesco’s Foyer, in aid of our local Food Bank and the South Hams Hospital League of Friends. A very wet and windy day but we managed to raise monies to support these two local charities in time for Christmas.
A talk from South Hams League of Friends, followed by a Craft evening, organised by the Craft Group, creating angels and butterflies for the Christmas Tree festival at the Methodist Hall in December.

Mike Rendell gave an illustrated talk on papercraft. An amazing insight into the delicate cutting of paper and the tools used for silhouettes, paper folding and origami.

Putting in the Recreation Park, followed by tea and cake. Unfortunately nobody managed a 'hole in one'!
Cream Tea held at Loddiswell Station. Time to enjoy each others company with tea, scones, jam and cream in a beautiful, peaceful setting!
Kingsbridge Carnival! Some of our members entered the Carnival to celebrate 100 years of votes for women.
Members event at the Salcombe Brewery. A very enjoyable meeting where we were told about the principles of brewing beer, shown the brewing equipment used at the brewery and tasted the end products! Our grateful thanks to Victoria for organising this event.
Summer Fayre, held at Kingsbridge Market Hall. With craft, plants, books, tombola, bric-a-brac, raffle cakes and teas and coffees, we raised about £500.00 for our WI.
A very funny yet informative talk on 'Women of Laughter', notable women who make others laugh through their poetry and comedy sketches.

Our own WI member Jackie showed everyone how to arrange seasonal flowers to suit various situations. All of the displays were used as raffle prizes for a few lucky members!
Alex Graeme gave us an enjoyable account of some of his unusual requests and experiences he has encountered operating his 'Unique Devon Tours'.
